I've been reading as Pam has been checking off her 101 in 1001 in the last couple months and now I want in. It seems like a great way to get those little things that you want to do in life done.
Here's the idea
The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay Focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

Good luck with your list. If I can help out (e.g. by being your dinner party company, or a friend you can bake for) - just let me know!
Wow -- great list! I don't know if I could come up with 101 things...I've been tempted to do this too, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I can teach you how to bake bread that tastes good. :)
Nice List! I want to thank you for helping me exceed my goal number 76, lol!
I would love a kitchen aid mixer too! If you have not been to infernos bistro I would recommend it for #45. #59 would be a hard one for me...probably even harder than 100 days without pop! For #95, have you thought about being put on their email list? I asked in person one day and now I get an email 3 days before my books are due and then I renew them online if I am still using them or drop them off before the due date. Maybe that will help you avoid late fees! I look forward to hearing about your progress and also to #101 :)
Andrea- I just may ask for your help.
pam d- I'll let you know
Pamela- I am on their email list but somehow hasn't really helped. Well it has a little. No TV will be a hard one but I may not do that until we are in a house where I don't "have" to be around the TV all the time.
Thanks for your encouragement!
Awesome idea. My list is about 8 things and I'm having trouble with it - good luck with your 101!
